Clifford Bruce Hansen, 75, son of Robert C. and Anna (Wills) Hansen, was born on Jan. 10, 1942, in Schiller Park, Ill., and passed away Sept. 4, 2017, at Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston, Mo.
Cliff was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Donald Hansen, Carl Hansen and Albert Hansen; six sisters, Roberta Hansen, Lorrell Hansen, Charlotte Zielanski, Wilma Siemers, Henrietta Prsyble and Alberta Christianson; a granddaughter; and a niece.
He is survived by his wife, Randi, of the home; a daughter, Christine Furlano of Chesterfield, Ill.; a stepson, Richard Rittel of Houston, Mo.; six grandchildren, Tommy and Kelly Furlano of Houston, Mo., Donavin and wife of Rockford, Ill., and Auda-faia, Zackery and Austin of Chesterfield, Ill.;, a brother, Robert T. Hansen and wife, Marion, of Houston, Mo.; and a host of friends.
He married Randi Patricia Mattern on Nov. 11, 2011.
Cliff was a member of Souls Harbor Family Worship, where he dearly loved to sing praise and worship his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with his wife and church family.
He was a proud Vietnam veteran as he had served his country. He spoke of the tragedy of losing a buddy in a foxhole. While there he was awarded several medals for his service.
He worked as a machinist most of his working years.
He loved to play golf with his friends on the church league, where his pastor was one of his best partners.
He was on a bowling league in Houston before moving to the Cabool bowling league, where he thoroughly enjoyed every moment. He was a faithful bowler and never wanted to miss a game.
Clifford volunteered his time at S.O.S. in Cabool and enjoyed helping the staff and customers.
He was dearly loved by all who knew him. He will be sadly missed and forever in our hearts.
A memorial service was 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8, at Evans Funeral Home with Pastor Cody Neugebauer and Daniel Backus officiating.
