Dennis Dale Skaggs, 64, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2017.
He was born Nov. 6, 1952, in Houston, son of Larnie and Bernice Walker Skaggs. He and Deborah Skaggs were married Dec. 3, 1993.
He and his wife, Deborah, were saved and baptized at Fowler Church in 1994. He served as a deacon at Victory Worship Center for the last 12 years.
He loved to hunt and fish. He loved to serve God and was surrounded by a wonderful church family. He loved to spend all the time he could with his grandkids and family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Larnie Skaggs; a brother Junior Skaggs; a son Dustin Skaggs; a grandson; and a granddaughter.
Survivors include a wife, Deborah; his mother, Bernice Skaggs of Houston; two sisters, Laura Booker of Houston and Angela Massey of Salem; a brother, Rollie Skaggs of Marceline; four daughters, Shayanna Pitt of Vanzant, Tina Raisor of Poland, Ind., Christle Lambert of Springfield and Tera Day of Houston; 15 grandkids; two great-grandkids; and numerous friends and other relatives.
Services were Saturday, Sept. 16, at Victory Worship Center of Cabool with Pastor Bill Kelly and Clinton Massey officiating. Burial was in Murr Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
