The Houston eighth-grade football team rallied past Cabool in the final seconds last Thursday for its first victory of the season.

Korbyn Tune connected with Ebin Smith for a 15-yard touchdown with 10 seconds remaining to tie the game. Tune ran in the two-point conversion to give the Tigers an 8-6 win.

Defensively, Nick Washko had an interception for Houston.

In the seventh-grade game, Anthony Carroll had four rushing touchdowns in the Tigers’ 36-6 victory.

Carroll had scoring runs of 9, 57, 5 and 55 yards. Dakota James had a 25-yard touchdown run.

James and Danny Venable had two-point conversion runs. Austin Goetz caught a conversion pass from Venable.
