The Houston softball team had an early advantage on the road Thursday at Cuba but ultimately lost 9-6.

The Lady Tigers (4-2) scored twice in the first and second innings for a 4-0 advantage. But Cuba responded with nine unanswered runs –– highlighted by four runs apiece in the second and fifth innings –– to rally for the win.

HHS senior Carly Crawford had three of Houston’s six hits and scored twice. Madison Lawson knocked in two runs.

Emily Roberts gave up nine hits in the complete-game loss. She struck out four and walked four.
