The Houston Area Chamber of commerce will host the inaugural “Pumpkin Festival” from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Saturday in downtown Houston.
Activities will include a classic car cruise-in, with dash plaques provided to the first 25 cars.
Also scheduled is a pumpkin bake-off. Persons are invited to enter their favorite baked item made of pumpkin for a chance to win a $25 Walmart gift card.
Chamber Executive Director Angie Quinlan said numerous other activities are planned, with several vendors, food, local racecars and displays by the Ozarks Older Iron Club.
