Barry Reginald Douglas, 64, passed away Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017, at his home in Licking.
He was born Nov. 13, 1952, in Ft. Campbell, Ky., son of Cleatus and Joyce Rowe Douglas. He and Rebecca Long were married April 23, 1969.
He grew up in Doniphan. He attended Southern Baptist College and graduated from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Ark., with a degree in engineering. He worked in Fort Leonard Wood as engineer over the hospital.
He enjoyed fly fishing, riding his motorcycles and feeding the fish in his pond.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a half brother, Chris Douglas.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Becky Douglas of the home; two sons, Justin Douglas of Houston and Eric Douglas of Licking; two daughters, Suzanne and Elizabeth of Arkansas; three brothers, Tim Douglas of Doniphan, Michael Douglas of Bolivar and John Oller of Briar; two sisters, Teresa Ledbetter of Mountain Home, Ark., and Leann Kelly of Doniphan; 15 grandchildren; and a special uncle, Marley Rowe of Maynard, Ark.
Memorial graveside services are 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 15, in Crawford Cemetery, Maynard, Ark. Cremation was under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
