The following fires involved responses from area departments:

• The Houston Rural Fire Department was called just before 1 p.m. Saturday to a reported flu fire southeast of Houston. The home was at 5940 Samoa Road off Highway DD.

• Members of the Houston Rural Fire Department were called just before 10 a.m. Saturday to a report of a tree on fire on Mineral Drive. The fire was burning inside the tree and flames showing as winds gusted at 8186 Mineral Drive.

• A field fire sent the Raymondville Fire Department to Wildwood Drive late Friday afternoon. The blaze, authorities said, had been close to a structure and propane tank before being extinguished.

• The Houston Rural Fire Department was called about 6:15 p.m. last Thursday to a reported grass fire north of Houston. The blaze was on Mineral Drive.

• Two departments responded at about 12:50 p.m. Nov. 1 to a structure fire at Raymondville. The blaze was reported on Anderson Lane, where the Missouri Wood Treating office building was on fire off North Highway 137.

Raymondville and Houston Rural were called.
