The annual Christmas parade hosted by the Houston Area Chamber of Commerce is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 9.
Chamber executive director Angie Quinlan said people can sign up by calling the chamber office at 417-967-2220, or by going to the chamber headquarters in the Houston Visitors Center (at U.S. 63 and Walnut Street) and filling out a form. The parade starts at 2 p.m. and line up begins at 1 p.m. in the high school parking lot.
Quinlan said this year’s grand marshal is longtime Houston businessman Edgar Rust. The event’s theme is “Christmas songs.”
