Mary Beulah Morgan, 93, passed away Monday, Nov. 20, 2017, at Maple Lawn Nursing Home in Palmyra.
She was born Nov. 3, 1924, in Houston, daughter of George William and Lula May Kelly Mayberry. She and Jesse Elmer Morgan were married Oct. 8, 1940. He passed away in 1991.
She graduated eighth grade from Pine Flat School. The family moved to Palmyra in 1948.
She enjoyed gardening, flowers, and her special pets, which were her dogs. Her greatest joys in life were her family gatherings, cooking for her children and grandchildren and spending time with her friend of more than 40 years, Margaretta Tyler.
She was preceded in death by parents; her husband of 50 years, Jesse; two sons, Donald and Lonnie; and eight siblings, Martha Kent, Lila Story, William Mayberry, Lucy Mayberry, Nancy Louise Morgan, Betty Jean Story, James Mayberry and Bessie Story.
Survivors include her children, Bill of Palmyra, Betty Robertson of Skyesville, Md., and Helen Young and Rhonda Morgan-Ryan of Hannibal; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Services were Saturday, Nov. 25, at Bradford Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rick Mosher. Burial was in Antioch Cemetery.
