Texas County’s jobless rate plunged 1.5 percentage points to 3 percent in October, reports the Missouri Department of Economic Development.
In south-central Missouri, the average rate was 3 percent.
Texas County’s civilian labor force was 9,215 with 279 unemployed, the state report said.
Area counties and their unemployment rates were: Douglas, 2.8; Howell, 2.8; Shannon, 3.8; and Wright, 3.5.
