The Cabool branch of the Texas County Library will re-open Jan. 2. The library invites the public to the ribbon cutting/open house from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Dec. 30. The public can tour the library and enjoy refreshments. We are excited to share the new library with the community.

Licking branch: A kids’ Christmas party is 1 p.m. Dec. 19. There will be cookies, games and one lucky kid will win a Christmas stocking. Children of all ages are inviting. Santa visited Dec. 5. More than 40 attended.

Houston branch: Adult computer classes will pick back up in January. We have enjoyed working with the community with its computer needs and look forward to continuing this effort in 2018.

Added to the book shelves at the Texas County Library: “Tiger’s Claw” by Dale Brown, “The 6th Man” by David Baldacci and “The Rooster Bar” by John Grisham.
