• The Bright Futures Houston board monthly meeting, 6 p.m. This month’s meeting will include a tour of the Melba Theatre.
• Lynch Township meeting, 6 p.m. at the township shed, 14472 Boiling Springs Rd., Licking.
• Public Water Supply District #2 meeting, 6 p.m. at the well house on Morton Road, Houston.
• Tyrone Fire Department meeting, 7 p.m. at Tyrone Community building.
• Texas Lodge #177 AF & AM of Houston monthly meeting is 7:30 p.m. at the Lodge Hall, 812 Dooley, Houston.
JAN. 6
• The monthly Launch House Party is 6 p.m. until midnight. A contemporary worship service is 7-8 p.m. The facility is then open until midnight for rock climbing, pool, basketball, ping pong, hoverboards, video games and more. The event is inside the Launch Student Center on the campus of Faith Fellowship.
JAN. 10
• The Houston Ministerial Alliance meets for its monthly meeting at noon at First Free Will Baptist Church.
JAN. 11
• The kickoff event for Bright Futures Houston is 5:30 p.m. in the Melba Theatre in downtown Houston. Attendees will learn about the program that assists school-age children and how to get involved.
