After losing three games to start the season, the Houston Tigers won two in a row to earn some tournament hardware.

HHS downed Morrisville 62-37 Friday night and topped Cabool 57-54 on Saturday to win the consolation bracket of the Mansfield Invitational.

Ty McCloud and Paydon Dixon scored 15 points apiece to lead the Tigers past Cabool. Clayton Moore added 12.

Houston (2-3) trailed by a point at the half before using a 17-10 edge in the third quarter to take a lead it wouldn’t relinquish.

The Tigers led by as many as 10 points in the fourth quarter as they beat Cabool for the first time since Feb. 15, 2011.
