Members of the Texas County Commission conducted business on Nov. 22 and Nov. 29, according to minutes released Dec. 8.
The county commissioners :
• Received correspondence that Emergency Management Director Brad North has established an office at the Texas County Health Department. He can be reached at that location and by telephone at 417-967-0720.
• Were informed that several townships reported having trouble receiving funds from FEMA/SEMA following spring flooding.
• Reviewed and acknowledged the hiring of Nathan Cockrum as a part-time jailer effective Nov. 30 at a pay rate of $9.25 per hour.
• Heard that Jan Domokos left her assessor’s office employment on Nov. 22 and Audra Honace had been hired effective Nov. 29 at an hourly rate of $9.25.
• Held a closed session with Sheriff James Sigman and attorney Patricia Keck of Keck and Austin LLC of Springfield.
