The Houston Tigers entered the Christmas break with a 58-50 road loss Tuesday at Alton.

HHS, which trailed by two at the half, shot just 36 percent from the field and was 14-for-26 (53 percent) at the free-throw line.

Kyler Ramsey led the Tigers (2-5) with 13 points. Paydon Dixon had 11 points – highlighted by three of the team’s six 3-pointers – and five assists.

Sophomore Isaiah Buse, who had been sidelined with an ankle injury, scored nine points in his first game before fouling out.

Houston faces Licking at noon Tuesday in the first round of the Cabool Holiday Tournament.
