Alta Fay Kinder Adey, 79, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018.
She was born Oct. 2, 1938, in Lenox, daughter of James “Buck” Kinder and Lillie Avis Harris. She and Marvin Adey were married Dec. 9, 1956.
She worked at local factories HD Lee and Rawlings Sporting Goods, where she made many friends. She opened The Pastry Place, a bakery in Licking, with her daughter. After retiring in 2009, she worked nine more years at George O. White Nursey.
She and her twin sister, Alma, traveled all over the country in national bowling tournaments.
She enjoyed playing Bunko, Skip-Bo, Mexican Train Dominoes and Chinese Checkers.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her twin sister, Alma in 2008.
Survivors include her husband, Marvin; two daughters, Kathy Bates of Licking and Tammy Mace of Edgar Springs; four grandchildren; and five great-grandsons.
A celebration of life was Saturday, Jan. 6, at First Baptist Church of Licking. Burial was in Boone Creek Cemetery under the direction of Fox Funeral Home.
