Services: Saturday, Dec. 30, at Mizell Funeral Home, Cuba, Mo.

Diega W. Wisdom DeVore, 68, of Raymondville, passed away Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017, at Texas County Memorial Hospital.

She was born Feb. 4, 1949, in Bunker, son of Ondo and Margaret B. Wilson Wisdom. She and Randall DeVore were married Sept. 9, 1992, in Eureka Springs, Ark.

She worked as a paramedic and LPN at Salem Memorial District Hospital and Texas County Memorial Hospital for more than 30 years. She was the first female to be certified as a paramedic in Dent County and was an EMS instructor for several years.

She enjoyed painting, ceramics, crocheting, reading, traveling, gambling, swimming and spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, Randall DeVore of Raymondville; six children, Carmella Griffin of St. Louis, Jason Strange of Cuba, Mo., Katrina Swartz of Rolla, Travis Strange of Salem, Craig Strange of Steelville and Valerie Strange of Poplar Bluff; a brother, Michael Wisdom of Philadelphia, Pa.; 22 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

Services were Saturday, Dec. 30, at Mizell Funeral Home, Cuba, Mo., with Lesa Mizell officiating. Cremation followed the service.

Memorials may be made to the American Stroke Association.
