Katherine Bernice Shelabarger Dewhirst, 91, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2018, at Texas County Memorial Hospital.
She was born Aug. 2, 1926, in Easton, Ill, daughter of Neva and Aubrey Shelabarger. She and Edward T. Dewhirst were married March 10, 1946.
She was a member of the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, the Licking V.F.W. and American Legion.
She loved her church, family, friends and neighbors. She enjoyed bowling as long as her health permitted and loved to cook. She helped and served at the Licking V.F.W. She enjoyed the outdoors.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; her parents; and two sons, Edward Robert and William Douglas.
Survivors include a daughter, Anita Long; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
Services are Friday, Jan. 26, at Fox Funeral Home Chapel with Father Matthew Rehrauer officiating. Burial will be in Licking Cemetery.
