Marjorie Robinson, age 89, of Quincy, Ill., died on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018, at 12:55 a.m. in Sunset Home, surrounded by her family.

Marjorie was born Dec. 25, 1928, in Texas County, Mo., the daughter of Charles and Beulah Rice Mason. She married Raleigh Robinson on July 1, 1950, in Texas County, Mo. He preceded her in death on Sept. 27, 1996.

Marjorie was a 1944 graduate of Houston High School and attended secretary school. She was employed as a legal secretary in her husband’s law office. Marjorie was a member of Union United Methodist Church. She was devoted to her family and dearly loved her grandchildren. Marjorie also enjoyed reading and traveling.

Survivors include a daughter, Jeanne (Garry) Allen of Hannibal, Mo.; four grandchildren, Lindsay (Bryce) Gilbert of Quincy, Ill., Kelly Yates of Quincy, Ill., Brad Allen of Chicago, Ill., and Lance Corporal Henry Allen, USMC, of California.

In addition to her husband, Marjorie was preceded in death by parents and a daughter, Carol Robinson.

Services are 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2018, at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home, Quincy, Ill., with the Rev. Carol Stufflebeam officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery, Quincy, Ill.
