Martha Louise Missel, ae 80, was born July 12, 1937, in Truman, Ark., to Roscoe T. and Minnie Faye Doty Sanders. She passed away Jan. 24, 2018, at Autumn Oaks Caring Center, Mountain Grove, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Therese Marie Missel; and two brothers, James and William Sanders.

Martha married Eugene Missel on Sept. 18, 1954, and to this union ten children were born.

She is survived by her husband, Eugene Missel; a brother, Robert Sanders; her children, James (Xiping) Missel, Michael Missel (Helen), Thomas (Edna) Missel, Joseph (Julie) Missel, Mary (Jeffrey) Richardson, Anne (Michael) Missel, Matthew (Tara) Missel, Christopher Missel and Sarah (Donald) Davis; grandchildren, Bo Liu, Anthony, Katherine and Thomas Missel, Joseph Missel-Lee, Julia, Shannon and Brendan Missel, Benjamin, Laura, Christopher, Stephen, Timothy and Kathryn Richardson, Nicholas Missel, Tyler Missel, Michael, Dierdre, Margaret, Brigid and Eamon Davis; and nine great-grandchildren with another one on the way.

Martha loved reading and watching nature; she enjoyed watching all the animals and birds and her flowers. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be missed by all who loved her.

A memorial funeral mmass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018, at St. Mark’s Catholic Church with Father Matt Rehrauer officiating. Inurnment will follow in Pine Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
