Clifford E. Perkins, 87, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 18, 2018. He was born Dec. 21, 1930, in Kansas City, Kan., to Dee Elmer and Dorothy Perkins.

In his early years, Clifford enlisted in the Army and later served in the Korean War. After completing his enlistment, he worked as an auto mechanic for many years specializing in automatic transmission repair. While recovering from a back injury that prevented him from continuing to work as an auto mechanic, Clifford attended heating and air conditioning school and became an HVAC technician. He eventually established his own HVAC business serving the Springfield and Branson area for many years before he retired.

Clifford was a talented musician that enjoyed playing his guitar while attending church and spending time visiting with friends and family. He helped raise six children and played a significant role in the raising of his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dee Elmer Perkins; mother, Dorothy Perkins; wife, Thelma Perkins; son, Steven Perkins; daughter, Cheryl Lee; and siblings, Evelyn Blakey, Benny Perkins, and Virginia Blakey.

He is survived by his sister, Norma Clayton; his sons, Rick and Dennis Perkins; his daughters, Brenda Andelora and Deborah Sigars; 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

Family, friends, and others whose lives Clifford touched are invited to the Greenlawn Funeral Home, 3506 N National Springfield, MO. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, and funeral services are 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23.
