Each year, the Houston FFA chapter holds a meeting at the beginning of the school year to recruit new members.
The adviser, Mrs. Hodges, met with the parents of students to talk about expectations of the members and to give them a brief overview of the record book system. While the parents were with Mrs. Hodges, the students played leadership games with the officer team. They also were able to talk with officers and ask questions and express their feelings toward being a new FFA member.
The current members and officer team were pleased by the large turnout of new members attending.
The chapter hopes to gain even more new members from this activity in future years.
