Lewis Denver Schweighauser, 77, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2018, in Walnut Ridge, Ark.

She was born Sept. 26, 1940, in Summersville, son of Donald Allie Rado and Minnie Melvinie Jackson Schweighauser. He and Sylvia Norris Emerson were married July 9, 1960.

He attended the Church of Christ at Flat Rock at a young age.

He held various jobs to support his family during the years, including MFA Feed Store in Summersville and Shannon County road crew. He worked in the timber industry logging, cutting cordwood and fire wood.

He enjoyed farming, raising cattle and hogs. When he was able he loved to travel, he loved listening to music and bowling.

When his health declined, he moved to Walnut Ridge, Ark.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Patricia Stewart; two brothers, Ray and James; an infant brother, Donal; and infant sister, Ruth.

Survivors include three children, Rose Vaughn of Hanna, Wy., Denny Schweighauser of Walnut Ridge, Ark., and Daniel Schweighauser; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; a brother, Charles Schweighauser of Diggins; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.

Services were Saturday, Feb. 10, at Bradford Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Steve Steelman officiating. Burial was in Riley Cemetery.
