The Summersville School District is seeking architectural and engineering services, as well as a project manager, for a proposed multipurpose safe room project on its campus.

A legal notice appearing in Howell County said the building would be constructed as part of a state and federal emergency management project. The effort is contingent on approval from the agencies.

Information must be submitted by 3 p.m. Feb. 16 to superintendent Rick Stark.

Over the years, similar projects have been completed at all Texas County school districts that have a high school.
