A plan is underway to form a Houston Jaycees organization.

Members of the Houston Future Homemakers of America observed national FHA Week with a parent-daughter banquet and installation of the following officers: Muriel Dablemont, president; Margie Coats, reporter; Judy Daniels, treasurer; Nancy Lantz, vice president; Nita Allen, historian; Virginia Jones, degree chairman; Jeannie Wallace, song leader; Kay Flowers, parliamentarian; Frances Connolly, secretary; and Beverly Beasley, pianist.

Jess Hilderbrand, who retired as a school teacher in Houston in 1964, has accepted the position of superintendent of schools at Fordland High School. He succeeds Ralph Cramer, who resigned after a dispute with the Fordland school board.
