Five people face drug-related charges following an execution of a search warrant Friday by the Houston Police Department.

About 52 grams of methamphetamine, marijuana, marijuana pills and a large amount of drug paraphernalia were seized from a house at 533 Hawthorn St. HPD Chief Tim Ceplina said several police officers went to the scene –– at the northeast corner of Hawthorn and Bryan streets –– along with assisting officers from the Missouri State Highway Patrol and Texas County Sheriff’s Department.

Two of the suspects were formally charged in the bust: Lisa D. Hayes, 37, who lives at the residence, is accused of two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and Christina R. McGowan, of 10553 Rock Drive, No. 2, in Mountain Grove, is charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Two other suspects have yet to be formally charged, but were arrested for having active Texas County warrants for other offenses.

Samantha D. Dennis, 37, of the residence, had a class C felony warrant for delivery of a controlled substance, along with misdemeanor failure to register a motor vehicle and no insurance. Jonnnie W. Clinton, 57, of 13220 Highway FF at Bucyrus had a class C felony warrant for delivery of a controlled substance and a class D felony warrant for unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Both were taken to the Texas County Jail.

Hayes and McGowan are each held on $75,000 bond.
