Garyn Hall struck out eight batters and Andrew Pierce scored a pair of runs as the Houston Middle School baseball team beat Mansfield 6-0 on Tuesday.

Hall allowed just two hits in six innings in the complete-game victory. He fanned eight of the 21 batters he faced and walked none.

Kaiden Wantland was 1-for-3 with two stolen bases. Danny Vennable also had a pair of steals.

Houston is 2-1 in the first season for the program.

In the ‘B’ game, Ryan Wolfe, Colton Stewart and Dakota James had one hit apiece in Houston’s 6-4 loss. Wolfe doubled and scored twice.
