Services: Tuesday, May 8, at Licking Pentecostal Holiness Church

Eva Aline Lewis, 78, passed away Friday, May 4, 2018, at Houston House.

She was born Feb. 1, 1940, in Summersville, daughter of Thomas Leslie and Hattie Lynn Martin Smith. She and James “Melvin” Andrew Lewis were married Aug. 8, 1959.

She enjoyed church, reading the Bible, singing, walking, puzzles, watching a baseball game on TV and listening to gospel music on her radio. In her early years, she loved fishing. She liked walking to “Hood’s Tasty Freeze” and visiting with those there.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Melvin; a daughter, Connie; three brothers, Don, Wayne and Carl; and a sister, Joyce Price.

Survivors include two sons, James Lewis of Houston and Doyle Lewis of Licking; three sisters, Betty Hill and Bonnie Lewis of Licking and Maxine Leggett of Ozark; a brother, James Smith of Licking; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Services were Tuesday, May 8, at Licking Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Erin McConnell officiating. Burial was in Craddock Cemetery under the direction of Fox Funeral Home.
