The following are excerpts from reports generated by the Houston Police Department:

• An employee of Little House Gifts, on C.W. Harry Blvd. in Houston reported on April 30 that a planter valued at $100 had been stolen from in front of the store. There are no suspects.

• A 51-year-old Houston man reported on May 1 that $600 cash had been stolen from his Highway 17 apartment on March 31. The man named a woman as a suspect, stating she had been at his residence that night and had said she needed money.

Investigation continues.

• A 36-year-old Houston woman came to the HPD station and reported a theft.

The woman told an officer she had ordered a Playstation 3, two controllers and 15 games from eBay and never received it. She said she contacted the post office and was told a carrier knocked on her door to deliver the package on the morning of April 12, but nobody answered so it was left by the mailboxes at the Spruce Street apartments where she lives.

The woman stated that nobody knocked on her door that morning and nothing was left for her by the mailboxes. Video was not available. Investigation continues.

• Shayla R. Clark, 19, of 8571 U.S. 63, Lot 34, in Houston, was issued a citation for stealing under $750 after alleged swiping a 47-year-old Houston woman’s cell phone on May 9.

The woman told an investigating officer that while she was standing outside the Office Bar on Grand Avenue, a man approached her and asked if she would give him and a woman a ride to a residence at a Northview Lane trailer park. After an investigation and interviews, officers determined Clark allegedly stole the phone during the ride.

She was arrested and taken to the Texas County Jail.
