According to Houston police, a fight between a man and woman Monday in Houston resulted in a totaled vehicle and a damaged home.

Following investigation of the incident, Shane Waldorf, 29, of 104 Acorn Lane in Houston, is charged with two counts of first-degree property damage (a class E felony).

A report written by a Houston Police Department officer indicates that at about 10:45 a.m., law enforcement was dispatched to Waldorf’s residence regarding a report of a vehicle into a house. Upon arrival, the officer observed a maroon Ford Expedition pushed up against the brick exterior of the home, and a brown Chevrolet pickup with front-end damage.

The officer spoke with Waldorf at the scene, who said he and his girlfriend had gotten into an argument, and he had decided to leave. He reportedly stated the woman followed him outside and the argument continued as he got into his truck. Waldorf told the officer he then made a “bad decision,” and rammed the woman’s vehicle, sending it into the wall of the residence. He said he then backed up and repeated the ramming.

The woman reportedly had her brother, who is a local auto technician, look at her vehicle (valued at $6,000), and he said it was totaled. After it was moved away from the structure, brick and sheetrock were found to be damaged. The landlord’s regular construction worker said repairs would cost “well over $750,” and that the police department would be provided a written estimate.

Waldorf is held in jail on $100,000 bond.
