Healthy Schools Healthy Communities (HSHC) will offer free samples of fruits and smoothies for kids ages 4-12 during the “Kid Tasted, Kid Approved” program Monday (June 25) at the Town and Country Supermarket in Cabool.
HSHC representatives will be located from noon to 4:30 p.m. next to the deli section. All kids who participate will need to sign in and their name will be entered for a chance to win one of several prizes. Parents or guardians of winning kids will be contacted, and prizes can be picked up at the Texas County Health Department in Houston.
“Please go to our Facebook page – Texas/Howell HSHC – and like it,” said HSHC community coordinator Earlene Stoops. “On our Facebook page you can see all the past and present events, programs and environmental changes brought to Cabool and Houston in Texas County and Willow Springs in Howell County due to great partnerships with the Healthy Schools Healthy Communities grant through the Texas County Health Department since 2015 and the Cabool YMCA in 2014.”
