Tanner C. Smith, a 2014 Houston High School graduate, has been commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Army after successfully completing the Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps program and graduating with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas.
Smith is active duty serving in the armor division. He is stationed at Fort Benning near Columbus, Ga.
Smith is the son of Chris and Laura Smith of Houston.
