After a Houston Police Department investigation of alleged incidents at his residence on July 9 and 10, a Houston man faces multiple felony assault charges.

Joshua D. Carman, 42, of 901 Augusta St. in Houston, is charged with two counts of third-degree domestic assault (a class E felony) and violation of a protection order for an adult (a misdemeanor).

According to an investigating officer’s report, Carman was involved in a dispute with two young girls at the residence on July 9. Then on July 10, a woman who lives there obtained an order of protection against him, but he allegedly showed back up at the house, removed a doorknob on the back door and entered.

The woman told the officer Carman had come in, taken some items and left. She also reportedly went to the police station and showed the officer several text messages she had received from Carman.

Bond is set at $150,000.
