A Houston Police Department investigation in May resulted in a Licking woman being charged with six counts of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child.
Police were dispatched at about 4:50 p.m. May 10 regarding a report of children left unattended in a vehicle in the Walmart parking lot. Six kids were reportedly found in a vehicle.
After an investigation, Brittany N. Cullen, 26, was cited for endangering the welfare of a child. Houston police said the children were in the vehicle for 11 minutes from the time video showed Cullen entering the store until the responding officer arrived. The officer said warm air was blowing from the vehicle’s vents.
A criminal summons was issued on July 5 charging Cullen with the six offenses. An arraignment is set for July 24 in Texas County.
