Nathan Wilkerson is the new high school and middle school principal at Plato R-V School District.

Wilkerson graduated from Fredericktown High School in 2008 and went to Lindenwood University to play football and start his undergraduate degree. After three years, he transferred to Southeast Missouri State University and finished out his degree in secondary education with a high school English certification.

His first job was with the Poplar Bluff School District as an English teacher and football coach. While there, he helped lead his department in curriculum changes and the integration of technology. After two years with the Poplar Bluff School District, he moved to Lebanon and went to work for the Camdenton School District. At Camdenton, he served as a high school English teacher, after school teacher, after school administrator, high school administration substitute and athletic supervisor. He was also part of their ongoing technology integration and curriculum development.

While at Camdenton, he earned his master’s degree in educational leadership from Columbia College and plans to pursue his specialist degree in the near future.

Wilkerson was married to his wife, Molly, in 2013. Molly is also an education major, and has a love for reading and library science. She is currently a stay at home mom for their two children: Aidan who is 21 months old and Finley who is 3 weeks old. He grew up in a military family on a small registered Angus farm. His family is in the process of rebuilding their registered herd after primarily raising commercial cattle for the last 10 years and he and his wife hope to one day build a registered herd of their own out of the several cows they now own.

Wilkerson said he’s a firm believer in having a team mentality.

“I’m excited to join the Plato R-V team and help lead those who lead children daily in becoming the best possible versions of themselves,” he said.

Kristie Scrivner has been been named as the new student services principal at Plato R-V School District.

Scrivner will provide support in the areas of special education, guidance, assessment, federal programs and more. Scrivner will provide PK-12 support and will work closely with both the elementary principal and high school principal to help students and staff across the district.

Scrivner has been an educator for 17 years. She served as the assistant principal at Cuba Elementary for the past six years, taught fourth grade in an eMINTS classroom for seven years at Steelville Elementary, and was the computer lab instructor and data and assessment coordinator there for one year. Before obtaining her teaching degree, Scrivner was a title reading and math aide and parent educator in the Gasconade County R-2 School District in Owensville.

Scrivner loves teaching and learning, and has spent a great deal of time as a student herself. She holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing, is certified to teach elementary education in grades one – six, holds a master’s degree in educational administration and an educational specialist.

When not at school, she likes to spend time with family and friends. Most of her summer is spent boating on the river and “glamping” on the Gasconade River. She is also a Cardinal baseball fan, loves motocross, enjoys ATV and Harley rides, and likes to do just about anything that takes her and her family outside.

Scrivner has one daughter, Laurynn, who graduated from Owensville High School in May, and will be heading off to Springfield in the fall to pursue a degree in sports medicine. She has a dog named Tess and a cat named Kitty.

“I am honored and proud to be the principal of student services at Plato R-V Schools,” Scrivner said. “I am excited to begin my newest educational journey, and look forward to learning more about your district and meeting each of you.

“My door is always open, so please stop in and see me.”
