Charlene Loye Lambert, 77, passed away Saturday, Aug. 4, 2018, at her home in Houston.
She was born March 11, 1941, in Hawkerville, Okla., daughter of Cecil and Mae Crewse Hutsell. She and Charlie Lambert were married July 3, 1971. He passed away Oct. 17, 1984.
She grew up in the Huggins area and attended school at Number 1.
She was an avid hunter and fisherman. She spent many hours in the woods or on the lake. She loved big family gatherings, bingo and going to casinos.
She loved to sew and worked for the Lee Company until she quit to raise her kids. She returned two years later and retired from Houston Sportswear in 2017 at the age of 76.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a stepson, Chuck Lambert; four sisters, Irene Pearce, Waneta Doty, Norma Bernard and an infant, Zelma; and four brothers, Dale Hutsell, Chester Hutsell, Clinton Hutsell and her twin, Charles Hutsell.
Survivors include two children, Lora Lambert and Brent Lambert of Houston; a brother, Ken Hutsell of Bullhead City, Ariz.; and numerous other family members and friends.
Services are 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, at Evans Funeral Home. Burial will be in Union Chapel Cemetery.
