The following fires involved responses from area departments:
• The Houston Rural Fire Department responded about 5:40 p.m. Sunday to a reported truck fire near Twin Bridges. Authorities said the blaze was between the two bridges.
• The Houston Rural Fire Department was called about 8:40 p.m. Saturday near Twin Bridges after a vehicle reportedly collided with a deer, and traffic control was required. There were no injuries reported. The vehicle was moved from the highway quickly and the department wasn’t required.
• The Raymondville Fire Department was called to a field fire about 8:20 p.m. Saturday on Kelly Street.
