Calls on Thursday morning sent troopers to two locations in Texas County.

A Houston man faces a string of charges following an accident Wednesday morning at Raymondville.

Tpr. Justice Simpson of the Missouri State Highway Patrol said an eastbound 2016 Hyunda Sonata driven by Matthew J. Ramsey, 31, failed to stop at a sign and struck a southbound 2006 Chevrolet Colorado operated by Delbert L. Skaggs, 74, of Waynesville. Ramsey’s vehicle travelled off the left side of the road and struck a fire hydrant. Skagg’s truck travelled off the roadway and came back on it.

The mishap was at Highway B and Junction Street.

Ramsey is charged with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while revoked, operating a motor vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner resulting in a motor vehicle crash, failure to stop at a stop sign, having no insurance and wearing no seat belt.

Both vehicles had extensive damage, Simpson said.
