A Licking man faces a felony assault charge after a police investigation of an incident at his residence on Aug. 19.
Bryan J. Edwards, 50, of 120 Old Salem Road, is charged with second-degree domestic assault (a class D felony).
A Licking police officer reported being dispatched to Edwards’ house with regard to a physical dispute between he and his wife.
The officer spoke with each person involved, and they provided varying stories about what occurred.
A woman who reportedly witnessed the incident was also questioned, and she stated she believed Edwards was the primary aggressor. After completing his investigation, the officer also determined he was the main combatant.
Edwards was transported to the Texas County Jail and is held on $200,000 bond.
