U.S. Sen. Roy Blunt visited Saturday afternoon in Houston during a stop through southwest Missouri.
Blunt, a Republican, toured the theatre, a 1938-era icon that was refurbished and reopened in December. It had been idle since the early 1980s.
Members of Downtown Houston Inc., who organized the project, discussed the history of the building and the work that was completed.
Blunt later addressed those attending about work underway in Congress.
Earlier, Blunt visited at South Central Manufacturing at Summersville.
