Several Texas County highways will be closed in September as Missouri Department of Transportation crews seal the roadway with a mixture of rock and oil.
Announced for closures from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. are:
• Highway P from U.S. 63 to Highway 137 will be closed on Sept. 10.
• Highway AT from Highway N to the end of state maintenance on Sept. 17 and 18.
• Highway YY from Highway M to Highway Z on Sept. 25.
Other county highways will also be sealed but reduced to one lane instead of fully closing:
• Highway TT from Highway 17 to the end of state maintenance from Sept. 4-5.
• Highway WW from Highway 17 to the end of state maintenance in Shannon County from Sept. 5-6.
• Highway BB from U.S. 63 to the end of state maintenance from Sept. 10-11.
• Highway E from U.S. 63 to the end of state maintenance on Sept. 24.
Work zones will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to seek alternate routes on closed highways and use extreme caution while near work zones.
