Missouri State Highway Patrol Cpt. Mark Inman, commanding officer of Troop G in Willow Springs, announced the results of a special enforcement operation conducted during the Labor Day holiday period on the peak travel days of Friday, Aug. 31, and Monday, Sept. 3.

Troopers assigned to this operation worked 12-hour shifts to patrol 20-mile intervals of U.S. 60 Totals from this operation:

• 105 speed citations.

• 8 seat belt citations.

• 5 child restraint violation citations.

• 1 failed to yield citation.

• 6 other hazardous moving citations.

• 17 non-moving citations.

• 8 no driver’s license citations.

• 9 uninsured motorist citations.

• 1 misdemeanor drug arrest.

• 9 misdemeanor warrant arrests.

• 3 felony drug arrests.

• 1 other felony arrest.

• 2 felony warrant arrests.

• 152 warnings. “Visibility is an important part of traffic enforcement,” Inman said. “This operation increases our visibility as well as our ability to keep the motoring public safe.
