• Hickory Ridge Baptist Church is hosting a revival with Bro. Kevin White at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 11-13 as well as 11 a.m. Oct. 14. Fellowship dinner after the Sunday morning worship service.
OCT. 12
• TCMH Auxiliary meeting is 2:30 p.m. in the Mayuga Cafe at TCMH.
• The Texas County Genealogical and Historical Society will meet at the genealogy library on Grand Avenue in Houston at 1 p.m. for the final business meeting of the year. Installation of officers will be held.
• The Houston First Christian Church is holding a blood drive from noon until 6 p.m. the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks said types O Negative and A Positive are at less than normal levels.
• Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) is a group for expecting moms and moms with kids not yet in kindergarten. Gatherings are 10 a.m. the second Friday of each month at Faith Fellowship.
• Farm Fest is Oct. 12-13 in Cabool. More than 40 vendors plus food, games, contests, displays, demos and more. Saturday will include helicopter rides, face painting, pumpkin crafts, games and interactive animal exhibits. Free admission and parking.

• Roby Fire Department firefighters meeting and training is 6 p.m. at the Roby station.
• VFW Post 473, Cabool, monthly meeting is 10 a.m.
• The 50th annual Scenic Riverways Arts & Crafts Show and Sale is 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Oct. 13-14 in Eminence.
• The annual Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast in Houston is 7:30 a.m. at the Houston Storm Shelter at Pine and First streets.
• Encounter Ministries is hosting its third annual family night beginning at 5 p.m. at Old Licking City Park. All-you-can-eat catfish. Bring a lawn chair and dessert if you’d like.

• Marty and Patti Elmore will be in concert at 10:30 a.m. at Community Crossroads Church in Raymondville. The Harmoniers will sing at 1:15 p.m. Soup and sandwiches will be served for lunch.

• Community Betterment and Arts Council of Houston will meet at noon at the Houston Senior Center.
• Member Appreciation Day is 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Intercounty Electric Cooperative. Hot dogs, chips and soda will be served. There will be a $25 electric credit drawing.

• Houston Education Foundation meeting is 6 p.m. at the Houston Schools superintendent’s office.
• Mary S. Chapter Eastern Star meeting is 7:30 p.m. at the Masonic Hall on Dooley Street, Houston.
