50 YEARS AGO — This view from aloft (the camera is facing north) outlines two tracts of land on which 50 units of Houston's public housing will be located. Bids on the million project will be opened Nov. 19. One land parcel is three acres located west of Houston Mill. The other site is a 2.5-acre tract between Ozark and Mill Street. Twenty units of non-elderly housing will be erected on a nine-lot parcel in the King-Wells Addition.
