The following accidents were reported by the Missouri State Highway Patrol:

• Paul E. Davis, 74, of Willow Springs, received moderate injuries early Sunday in an accident east of Licking. Sgt. Dale Pounds said Davis’ westbound 2011 Focus ran off the right side of Highway 32 and struck an embankment. Davis, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken by ambulance to Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston. The vehicle was totaled.

• Jared H. Thomason, 35, of West Plains, was charged with driving while intoxicated following an accident last Wednesday evening south of Licking. Tpr. Marty Wiseman said an eastbound 2000 Ford Crown Victoria driven by Thomason failed to yield to a southbound 2017 Ram van operated by Benjamin A. Russell, 37, of West Plains, and struck it on the right side.

Thomason was arrested at the scene on DWI, careless and imprudent driving and having no proof of insurance charges. He was released to medical personnel and transported to Texas County Memorial Hospital with moderate injuries. Russell also had moderate injuries and was taken to TCMH. Wiseman said both were wearing seat belts.

Both vehicles had extensive damage.

Assisting Wiseman at the scene — at U.S. 63 and Highway P about four miles south of Licking — were Sgt. Dale Pounds, Cpl. Terry Nelson and Tpr. Jacob Sellars, the Licking Fire Department and the Texas County Sheriff’s Department.

• Angelica R. Thomas, 20, of Alton, was injured last Monday morning in a single-vehicle accident in Texas County. She was headed southbound seven miles south of Summersville on Highway 17 when the 2003 Chevrolet Malibu she was driving ran off the left side of the highway and struck an embankment.

Thomas, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by private vehicle to Ozarks Medical Center. She had moderate injuries.
