The Houston eighth-grade girls’ basketball team improved to 4-1 with a 34-27 comeback win last Tuesday night against Liberty.
Rhease Manier scored 10 points and Karlee Curtis had nine to lead the Lady Tigers. Aliyah Walker and Mackenzie Bryan scored five apiece.
Houston trailed 10-5 after the opening quarter and by four at the half. The Lady Tigers had a 14-8 advantage in the third quarter to take the lead.
On Monday, Houston was held to just two first-half points in a 39-16 defeat at Licking.
Manier scored five points and Walker had four for the Lady Tigers.
SEVENTH GRADE: Angelina Smith scored 17 points in the Houston seventh-grade girls’ basketball team’s 35-29 loss Monday at Licking.
The game was tied 25-all entering the fourth quarter.
Mikendra Ramsey added six points and Kelsey Pritchett had four.
Last Tuesday, Smith scored 19 points and Pritchett had nine in a 41-32 loss to Liberty.
