Murel Lene Beasley Eschrich, 84, passed away Friday, Nov. 9, 2018, at Mountain View Healthcare.
She was born May 21, 1934, in Spring Valley, daughter of Hershel and Ollie Knight Beasley. She and Jim Ray Eschrich were married Oct. 24, 1953.
She was a longtime member of the Oakside Community Church.
Alongside her husband, Jim, she helped manage daily farm operations. She also cared for her children and enjoyed influencing her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She found enjoyment in helping others, cooking, gardening, canning and time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Jim.
Survivors include a son, Michael of Summersville; a daughter, Debbie Tune of Summersville; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.
Services were Tuesday, Nov. 13, at Oakside Church with the Rev. George Smith and the Rev. Lee Frost officiating. Burial was in Oakside Cemetery under the direction of Bradford Funeral Home.
