The Houston Area Chamber of Commerce will host its annual “Taste of Christmas” event this Saturday (Nov. 24).
Participants should drop off their goodies by 9 a.m. at the business featuring their category. Judging starts at 10 a.m., as customers taste and vote for their favorites.
Winners will be announced at 2 p.m., except where the business closes earlier. Here are the categories and businesses:
• Brownies – Rustic Darlin.
• Fudge – St. Mark’s Church.
• Candy – Houston Herald.
• Muffins – Houston Visitors Center.
• Soups – D & L Florist.
• Cinnamon Rolls – Dry Creek Marketplace.
• Appetizers/Cheeseballs – Romines Motor Co.
• Dips – Little House Gifts.
• Wings – Pit Stop’s Ozark Treasures Gift Shop.
• Pies – Blissful Nirvana Massage.
• Summer Sausage and Jerky – Aaron’s.
• Anything Sugar Free – the health food store.
• Bar Cookies – Forbes Phamacy/Walgreen’s.
• Gingerbread Houses – Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
• Holiday Snack Mix – New Concepts.
• Fruitcake – CHC Do-it Center.
• Cakes – Diane’s Pet Styles.
