The HHS Tigers finished the 2017-'18 season with a 7-20 record. 

The 2018-19 basketball season has arrived.

Both the Houston boys’ and girls’ basketball teams tip off their seasons in the coming days to kickstart new campaigns.

The Tigers travel Saturday to the Rolla Shootout to face Ellington. The JV plays at 3 p.m. followed by the varsity at 4:30 p.m.

On Tuesday, HHS hits the road to Cuba. The team’s home opener is Nov. 30 against Seymour.

The Lady Tigers will be at home for the first two games of the season. Houston hosts Camdenton on Monday and Nov. 27 faces Bradleyville.

HHS girls’ basketball coach Jim Moore enters his third season coaching his alma mater.

The HHS boys, who were 7-20 last season, are led by Rod Gorman. The HHS girls, who went 12-16 a year ago, are coached by Jim Moore. Both enter their third seasons at Houston.
