Senior Paydon Dixon led six Houston football selections on the Southwest Missouri Football Coaches Association’s all-area team with a spot on the first team.
CJ Lee earned a pair of second team honors as a linebacker and punter.
Sophomore Chris Cichon was also named to the second team. Brecken Adey, Daniel Hutcheson and Devin Wallander received honorable mention
Dixon had 62 tackles and two interceptions from his safety position. He returned one interception for a touchdown.
Lee had a team-best 96 tackles. As a punter, Lee averaged a conference-best 37.4 yards per kick.
Cichon had team highs of 13 tackles for losses and four sacks as the Tigers’ starting nose guard.
Hutcheson rushed for team highs of 945 yards and 11 touchdowns. Wallander had 95 tackles at linebacker and Adey started at center on the offensive line.
